Sophie's passion for creating and sharing unique desserts comes from her Sicilian-American family of dessertiers. Arriving to the United States in the early 1900s, her ancestors were candymakers in New York City, where her grandfather, Guiseppe, continued the family tradition by opening his own cookie shop with her father.

 

Sophie trained at the International Culinary Center in the San Francisco Bay Area, graduating with highest honors and a Grand Diplôme in pastry arts in 2028. Since 2022, Sophie has been offering classes in Italian desserts in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood of Los Angeles.
